DIVMATTERS LLC provides custom software development, website design and development, web application engineering, e-commerce solutions, API integrations, and ongoing maintenance services. These are bespoke professional services requiring significant time, expertise, and resources. Our refund policy reflects this reality.
Most projects require a non-refundable deposit prior to commencement. The deposit amount and payment schedule are detailed in the signed project proposal or service agreement. Standard structures include:
If you cancel a project in writing before any work has begun, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund of any deposit paid, minus administrative or processing fees. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@divmatters.com.
Once work begins, all payments made are generally non-refundable. This applies to initial deposits and released milestone payments, hours billed on hourly engagements, monthly retainer payments for the current billing period, and payments for completed deliverables. We invest significant time and resources from the moment a project starts, and these cannot be recouped upon cancellation.
In exceptional circumstances, we may offer a partial refund at our sole discretion when work is cancelled at an early stage with minimal work completed, when DIVMATTERS LLC is unable to complete the project due to circumstances on our end, or when a mutually agreeable resolution cannot be reached through revision or scope adjustment. Partial refund amounts will be calculated based on work completed and costs already incurred at the time of cancellation.
Either party may cancel a project by providing written notice. Upon cancellation: all work completed to date will be invoiced at the applicable rate; outstanding balances for completed work become immediately due; fully paid deliverables will be transferred to the client; and incomplete or unpaid deliverables remain the property of DIVMATTERS LLC until payment is received.
Monthly maintenance retainers are billed at the start of each month and are non-refundable once the period has commenced. You may cancel a maintenance plan at any time with written notice, effective at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for unused days within a paid period.
Before requesting a refund, we strongly encourage clients to communicate concerns directly with our team, review the agreed-upon scope and deliverables, and allow us to address issues through revisions or alternative solutions within the agreed scope. Most concerns can be resolved through open, good-faith communication โ and we are committed to making that happen.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to attempt resolution, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate all active services immediately, withhold access to any delivered work or platforms managed by us, and pursue recovery of the disputed amount through appropriate legal channels. We ask that all disputes be communicated to us directly first.
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis if DIVMATTERS LLC fails to deliver services as explicitly described in a signed project agreement and cannot rectify the issue within a reasonable timeframe. Such exceptions are at the sole discretion of DIVMATTERS LLC management.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing, including your name, company name, project details, amount paid, and the reason for your request. We will review and respond within 5 business days.
